Virtual Exhibition and Introduction by Wolfgang A. Grabow
As part of the third international colloquium ‘Esotericism-inspired artistic visions in Central and Eastern Europe’, Wolfgang A. Grabow will introduce and offer his interpretation of the project Tabula Impressa by Francesca Ricci and Kiril Bozhinov referring to the concepts of genius loci, disenchantment and contemporary urban re-enchantment, with a virtual exhibition and a small collection of artworks.
Tabula Impressa has its conceptual base in the Jungian idea of the collective unconscious and uses as its raw matter the urban semiotics pictured in an ensemble of signs photographed on the pavements of London. The artists will be in conversation about the inspiration behind this composite, ongoing project, where a panorama of archetypes is layered upon personal and collective history generating a universe of signs and symbols that can overlap across centuries, cultures and fields of human knowledge.
